Use yourself or someone you know as the model reference

Pair your clothing item with a clear, authorised adult photo. A selfie or everyday picture can guide the face; a full-body reference is optional.

Choose Use a person photo in Direction

The person slot is separate from the clothing item and setting slots. Upload one or two photographs of the same adult aged 18 or older. A clear face, even light and an unobstructed view are more useful than an elaborate shoot. Avoid heavy filters, sunglasses covering the eyes and crowded group photos.

A face photo and a body photo do different jobs

A selfie can guide facial appearance. A full-body photo can also guide proportions. With only a face reference, the body proportions are illustrative. Neither reference establishes physical clothing item fit, exact height or a guaranteed likeness. Check the generated face, hands, pose and clothing before use.

Get consent before upload

Use your own adult photo or ask the person for permission for this purpose. You also need authority over the photograph itself. Confirm permission for processing with Foltara and OpenAI. Knowing someone or finding their social profile does not give you these rights.

Keep the three references distinct

The clothing item defines the supplied product. The person guides the cast. An authorised scene image can guide the background, or the broader shoot when selected. Upload each in its own slot so the system can assign the intended role.

Save what you need without retaining the reference indefinitely

Person references expire after one day on the generation service and are excluded from saved browser and cloud briefs. Reopening a draft requires re-upload and fresh permission confirmation. Download a result you want to keep. Do not include the input person photo in a public comparison unless you have separate permission to publish it.

Review both identity and product

A successful request means an image was delivered, not that the person approved its likeness or the clothing item is exact. Ask the consenting person to review a result before publishing it. Check embroidery, fastenings and colour against the original clothing item too. A private test is not permission to use an image in advertising.
